Clear documents of comprehensive terms and conditions will ensure that you meet your legal obligations and that both parties know what to expect of one another.  New staff should be issued with a document indicating their basic terms within 8 weeks of starting. Existing staff must be consulted on any changes to their contractual terms to avoid the risk of a tribunal claim.
